RENEWED QUEENSLAND BORDER CLOSURE
We have made changes to our COVID-19 cancellation policy in response to today’s decision by the Queensland Government to enforce a hard closure of borders to New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), after declaring both COVID-19 “hotspots”.
The border closure will take effect from 1am Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on Saturday, August 8 and will last until at least August 31. People seeking to enter from New South Wales will be turned around at the border. Queensland residents will be permitted to enter but will be required to serve 14 days’ quarantine at a state-government selected hotel at their own expense. We have not offered club properties as quarantine facilities and nobody will be permitted to isolate at a club property.

In light of these restrictions, our Owner Services team will systematically work through reservations at Queensland club properties through August. The team will isolate those reservations made by owners with a residential address in New South Wales or the ACT and will send a text message to confirm the cancellation of any bookings. If this applies to you, please confirm the cancellation and your credits will be returned or, if the credits have expired, a voucher will be issued within 14 days for future use. There is no need for you to call unless you are not currently residing in New South Wales or the ACT and wish to retain your reservation.
Owing to the difficulty Queensland residents would experience travelling to New South Wales then seeking to return, our Owner Services team will also work through reservations for August at New South Wales properties made by owners with a Queensland residential address. Our team will send those affected a text message and, if you want to cancel, please confirm the cancellation. Your credits will be returned or, if the credits have expired, a voucher will be issued within 14 days for future use.
