August 21, 2020 | Resort Report

We are beginning to see some positive signs in New South Wales and Victoria with the lowering of new COVID-19 cases. Our teams continue to monitor the situation closely and make changes to our cancellation policy as appropriate.
Our thoughts are, of course, with our Victorian owners at this time. We hope that the lockdown will be lifted on schedule and our resorts in the state will be able to reopen soon.
Formerly, this report contained the latest video in our GM Spotlight series. With the launch of Club Wyndham TV, you can view the latest GM Spotlight online here. Just login as you usually would to Lifestyle and, if you have not done so before, make sure you sign up.
The latest Spotlight is with Lani Fahey, General Manager of Club Wyndham Shoal Bay in New South Wales, Australia, who highlights the attractions and amenities you can enjoy at the club property.
To our property projects, and work is continuing at Ramada Resort by Wyndham Phillip Island. Due to the stage three restrictions, it has actually managed to progress more quickly, with work on a number of villas taking place concurrently.
Our completion date was originally October but we are now on track to finish in September, provided there are no changes to travel restrictions or the supply chain.
During the downtime created by COVID-19, our onsite restaurant, Flame Trees, is also undergoing some project work. We have almost finished a new fireplace and the reception area has been relocated to the restaurant area as well. The team’s also preparing to welcome owners back with a fresh new menu – hopefully in a few weeks.

We had intended to launch our six-metre outdoor movie screen in the September school holidays – and we would still like to – but, realistically, this may be delayed for a few weeks due to the strong possibility of gathering restrictions. Our intention with this initiative is to create a casual outdoor cinema space for owners and their families, with movie-themed snacks.
Thank you all for your wonderful feedback about our refurbished rooms at Club Wyndham Port Douglas. All 88 Club Wyndham South Pacific apartments at the resort have been refurbished and owners are now staying in them.
Here are some pictures of the completed product.

Thanks for your patience during this period and we look forward to welcoming you soon.
