During the weekend, the Victorian Government announced changes to its COVID-19 restrictions in Metropolitan Melbourne. Our team has had the chance to review these and change our COVID-19 cancellation policy in response.
EXTENSION OF CLUB WYNDHAM MELBOURNE CLOSURE
It now appears highly unlikely that residents of Metropolitan Melbourne will be able to travel for leisure by October 26 so we have pushed back the slated re-opening date for Club Wyndham Melbourne until November 2. We will make a week-by-week decision on the re-opening date of this property accordingly to government announcements.
Our team will contact owners scheduled to stay at the property prior to November 2 and cancel their reservation. If this applies to you, your credits will be returned or, if the credits have expired, a voucher will be issued within 14 days for future use.
METRO MELBOURNE OWNERS TRAVELLING TO REGIONAL VICTORIA
At this point, owners in the Metropolitan Melbourne area are unable to travel for leisure purposes, even to regional Victoria. Our Owner Services team will contact owners with a residential address in Metropolitan Melbourne who have a reservation at any property beginning on or before November 1 and invite them to cancel their reservation.
If this applies to you, please confirm the cancellation and your credits will be returned or, if the credits have expired, a voucher will be issued within 14 days for future use.
PROOF OF IDENTITY REQUIREMENT
The Victorian Government has brought in a new requirement that means your regional resorts will need to check identification on check-in to establish your address. If you are travelling to a regional Victorian resort, please ensure you have your driver’s license or passport with you. If you do not, you will need to fill out a statutory declaration form detailing your place of residence. Your resorts will be required to turn away anyone from Metropolitan Melbourne, in line with government restrictions.
