Has your faithful canine companion always wanted to tag along with you on your Club Wyndham South Pacific adventures?
For many people, their dog is part of the family. It’s heartbreaking having to leave your little friend with strangers when you drive off to have fun!
Over a long period of time, owners have expressed an interest in making their dog part of their holiday “tails” – and our team has been developing a way to make it happen.
Here’s how it will work
From tomorrow, February 2, the Club will be operating a trial program allowing owners to make bookings at a designated “Dog Holiday” apartment at each of the following resorts:
These six Australian and New Zealand resorts were chosen due to their space, location, their suitability for a dog and to offer coverage across both countries. There are other properties within the Club Wyndham South Pacific portfolio – primarily in Japan – that are already dog friendly.
Each dog will receive special treats on arrival and, in the Dog Holiday apartment, a comfortable dog bed, food and water bowls, and dog waste bags. Dog food and pet treats will be available to purchase at reception at each of the resorts above.
Interested owners will need to phone Owner Services to make a booking into a room specially set up for a furry guest. These are marked online with “Dog Friendly” when checking for availability at clubwyndhamsp.com. These rooms are available to be booked by all owners – not just owners who are travelling with their dog.
Bookings can be made utilising the extent of the 13 month window but this is a trial only and subject to change.
A nose for hygiene
Our operations team has thoroughly investigated and researched cleaning methods, and will be ensuring these apartments maintain the highest standard of cleanliness. Housekeeping staff have been trained to ensure these apartments are returned to optimum condition after every stay.
To meet those standards, owners using the Dog Holiday apartments will be required to check-out at 10am rather than 12pm (noon). Pet owners will also be required to pay directly to the resort an additional AU$30 per night (or a NZ currency equivalent), and a minimum of AU$90 if the stay is three nights or less.
The pets themselves
Our resort teams look forward to welcoming dogs (one per room) under 12 kilograms that are micro-chipped, have all their vaccinations and are up-to-date with their flea treaments. You will be required to provide evidence of these upon check-in. Your furry friend will need to be leashed at all times whilst on common property areas around the resorts.
As a responsible dog owner, there are some other rules to observe – and these will be outlined in your confirmation letter. Dog owners will be required to sign a pet addendum on arrival agreeing to the terms and conditions.

Please note this policy does not apply to registered service dogs, which are permitted across the properties by law.
