Katsuura has a small main street and some inviting temples and shrines, many of them perched on hills that offer impressive views of the ocean. Sundance Resort Katsuura East is located in Katsura and about 20 minutes walk from JR Awa Katsuura station, near Maiwai Onsen. The landscape around Katsuura consists of rolling, sandy hills of the Bōsō Hill Range, and the town is famous for having one of the largest morning markets in Japan. The annual mean temperature is 15°C, with an average maximum of 26°C in summer & an average minimum of 6°C in winter.
IMPORTANT: All rooms have private bathrooms and western style beds. Public bath is an indoor onsen (mineral hot spring). Clothing, swimwear or display of tattoos are not permitted in onsens.

Swimming Pool: Outdoor pool open between 8:00am & 6:00pm daily from mid-July to late-August. This pool is not heated.
Laundry: Hanging & drying clothes out on the balcony is strictly prohibited.
