Most countries in this region have begun to reveal their re-opening plans as vaccination rates start to draw closer to 80 per cent. However, there are still some lingering lockdowns and restrictions to navigate so we have amended our COVID-19 cancellation policy accordingly.

STATE COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS
While New South Wales has announced a re-opening to international travel from November 1, it has also stated that Sydney residents will not be able to travel to regional areas until that date.
Tasmania has announced a three-day lockdown beginning today, while in New Zealand, Auckland’s Alert Level 3 restrictions have been extended until October 18.

HOTSPOTS
If you live in or have travelled through a region or state that has been flagged as a hotspot and your travel plans are affected, please contact Owner Services. Under the policy, Owner Services can waive cancellation penalties on a case-by-case basis in these circumstances.
If the COVID-19 cancellation policy is applied in response to any of the conditions above, the team will return your credits to your account. Where your credits are expired, they will be subject to a new travel by date.
Please be aware that it is up to you to ensure your reservation is cancelled. If you do not receive a text message or a cancellation confirmation email, your reservation is still confirmed.

When government announcements are made, Owner Services call queues often rise. If all you need to do is cancel, we recommend using the text message. If you are ringing to find out about your credits, please be aware that they can take up to 14 business days to display in your account.
Today’s announcement about international travel for vaccinated people to New South Wales is a positive development, made all the more significant by the length of time national borders have been closed. We hope this re-opening will go ahead as planned and it is the first of many such announcements.
