Even as Australia endeavours to get on top of the latest COVID-19 outbreak and vaccination rates rise, lockdown restrictions persist in parts of Victoria and New South Wales. In addition, New Zealand has called a snap three-day lockdown.

 

If you are travelling, I would encourage you to keep up-to-date with the latest restrictions both in your destination and as you return home, by checking either the Australian Government’s COVID-19 Restriction Checker or New Zealand’s Unite Against COVID-19 page.

 

STATE COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS

Based on the latest announcement from the Victorian and ACT Governments, we have extended the COVID-19 cancellation policy until early September for owners from Victoria or the ACT and for people travelling to Victoria, and updated the policy to cover New Zealand travellers over the next three days.

 

Our Owner Services team is contacting the following groups with an invitation to cancel their reservations:

  • Owners based in Melbourne with a reservation with a check-in date on or before September 2
  • Owners based outside of Victoria with reservations in Victoria with a check-in date on or before September 2
  • Owners based in Victoria (outside Melbourne) with reservations outside the state with a check-in date on or before September 2
  • Any additional owners with reservations at Club Wyndham Melbourne with a check-in date on or before September 2
  • Owners based in the ACT with reservations outside the territory with a check-in date on or before September 2
  • Owners travelling to Club Wyndham Rotorua Marama or Club Wyndham Wanaka with a check-in date on or before August 20

 

Our teams continue to monitor government announcements about new restrictions, particularly in New South Wales, where our COVID-19 cancellation policy covers reservations and owners until August 28, and New Zealand. We will update this policy as soon as new information becomes available.

HOTSPOTS

If you live in a hotspot or have travelled through a place considered a hotspot by a state/territory, and cannot fulfil your reservation, please contact our Owner Services team:

Call numbers have been fluctuating with a spate of new restrictions announced recently so please expect that there may be a call queue.

 

If the COVID-19 cancellation policy is applied in response to any of the conditions above, the team will return your credits to your account. If they have expired, they will be returned to your account with a new travel by date.

 

Please be aware that it is up to you to ensure your reservation is cancelled. If you do not receive a text message or a cancellation confirmation email, your reservation still remains confirmed.
