After some COVID-19 clusters in Australia and New Zealand to start the year, the situation seems to have stabilised. Talk of returning to the idea of a Trans-Tasman bubble is a welcome development.

If you are unsure about the status of Australian restrictions, I encourage you to visit the COVID-19 Restriction Checker, while if you are in New Zealand, the government’s Unite Against COVID-19 page is the place to keep up-to-date with the current situation.

AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND
As there are very few restrictions on internal movement within Australia and within New Zealand, reservations in New Zealand are now subject to standard cancellation guidelines, while Australian owners with reservations for March and April, and subject to any travel restrictions may cancel up to seven days prior to check-in (however, reservations made after February 12, 2021 will be subject to standard cancellation guidelines).

Australian owners with reservations in New Zealand and vice versa will be given the opportunity to cancel seven days before the check-in date. If that cancellation applies to you, please confirm the cancellation using the message that you will be sent and the Owner Services team will return your credits to your account or, if they have expired, issue a voucher within 14 days for future use.

FIJI
Owner Services will cancel all reservations at Club Wyndham Denarau Island between April 11 and April 30. Most of these reservations are from owners based in Australia and New Zealand. At this stage, the resort will not be open after the Easter holiday period.

The weekend openings have proven popular and have given the small group of locally-based owners the opportunity to utilise their credits. There is the possibility the resort will be re-opening again in similar fashion exclusively for local owners if travel restrictions persist.

OTHER OVERSEAS LOCATIONS
Club Wyndham Sea Pearl Phuket, Club Wyndham Dreamland Bali and all properties in Hawaii and Japan are able to be used by locally based owners. April 2021 reservations at these properties are now subject to standard cancellation policies.

All April stays at Club Wyndham Normandy, Club Wyndham Tuscany and Club Wyndham Bavaria will be cancelled by Owner Services, as the properties are still closed because of the COVID-19 situation in Europe.

Owner Services team will return your credits to your account or, if they have expired, issue a voucher within 14 days for future use.

Please note that it is each owner’s responsibility to ensure that a booking is cancelled. If you do not receive a text message or a cancellation confirmation email, your reservation remains confirmed.

Our COVID-19 team is monitoring the guidance of government and health authorities in the regions where the club operates and will continue to adjust the COVID-19 cancellation policy as required.
