Ah, lockdown… whichever way you look at it, being stuck at home has certainly given many of us plenty of time to catch up on some TV. Luckily, Netflix has a full catalogue of TV shows ranging from crime, comedy, period drama, fantasy and many more!

Where in The World is Carmen Sandiego? was a popular computer game in the ‘90s, in which the user tracked down an international syndicate of artefact thieves led by the infamous Carmen Sandiego.
The animated Netflix show flips the script by featuring Carmen as the main character and centring Carmen stealing those artefacts for the good of mankind.
Carmen starts as an agent-in-training at V.I.L.E Academy – a school for criminals. When she realises the true nature of her school, she jet sets across the globe – from Indonesia to Ecuador and the Netherlands to Australia – to retrieve what V.I.L.E agents stole.

Set in 1984, Mike, Dustin, Lucas and Will all think about in life is playing their favourite board game – Dungeons & Dragons – on school nights and weekends.
This sci-fi series unfolds when Will disappears, and his three friends searched for him in the woods. Instead of finding Will, they meet Eleven – the girl with telekinetic abilities who can track Will and save their town from a powerful, evil creature.

Suits is a popular American show that aired in 2011 and closed its ninth and final season last year.

With no legal background to boast, Mike closes legal cases while keeping his real identity a secret.

For a dose of comedic relief, Brooklyn Nine-Nine delivers.
When Captain Ray holds office in Brooklyn’s 99th precinct, he brings with him a team of talented detectives, including Detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) who boasts a high rate of solved cases despite being carefree and immature.
Follow the show’s workplace antics and Jake’s witty banter as he tries to follow rules and become a team player. At one point, it was cancelled by Fox in the US but the fan outcry was so great that NBC swooped in for it.

Starring Jason Bateman as financial adviser and patriarch of the Byrde family, Ozark is a story of drug cartels and money laundering gone wrong.
Marty Byrd is a regular employee who side hustles as a money launderer. After a failed laundering scheme for a Mexican drug cartel, he forces his wife and two teenage kids to relocate to the Ozark mountains in Missouri to launder more millions and appease the drug boss.
Currently in its third season, the show has a rating of 8.4 on IMDB (Internet Movie Database) and fans love its thrilling plot and superb casting.

Loosely based on a real 19th century street gang of the same name, Peaky Blinders is a period crime drama set in Birmingham, England after the First World War.
The story starts when Thomas Shelby and his brothers return to Birmingham after serving in the British army. The Shelby family are illegal bookmakers who accidentally stole a case of guns and are on the run from Chief Inspector Chester Campbell of the Irish Republican Army, who decides to put an end to the gang’s crimes.
Starring Cillian Murphy, the show is currently in its seventh season, although each show only contains six episodes.

The Crown follows the life of the longest-reigning British monarch, Queen Elizabeth II and the half-fictional, half-historically accurate drama happening inside the Buckingham Palace.
Season one celebrates the Queen’s accession to the throne at just 25 years old after her ailing father, King George VI, passed away, and her lavish wedding to Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

A police procedural drama, two FBI Special Agents, Holden Ford and Bill Tench, seek to understand the minds of serial killers, with the objective of solving more unclosed cases.
Set in 1977, Mindhunter puts the audience on a journey into the lives of police, murderers and victims. Ford and Tench interview people in jail and report their findings to their colleague, Professor Carr, a psychologist.
This series dives deeper into criminal psychology, which was a relatively new branch of study in the ‘70s.
